Julio and I have been making beads since November of 2001.

This is me (Kristan) and Gertrude. More about myself later, here is a bit about Julio.

Julio he grew up here in Pacific North West enjoying the nature and wilderness as a child. Influenced by a creative and artistic environment, his mother being a full time artist, art as some sort of career seemed inevitable. After 10 years of culinary work, including a 2 year stint as the chef at King Estate Winery became an obvious avenue for his desire for an artistic existence. After quitting his full-time job after only 4 months behind the torch he rapidly developed the skill and eye of a artist. Doing beads and other smaller glass pieces allows for a lot of experimentation and learning. Although schooled in the basics of glass by Scot Herndon he considers himself to be self-taught.
